Waifu, FWB or One-Night Stand? #35

It’s week #35 of Waifu, Friend With Benefits or One-Night Stand!

For those new to the article, this is not a post that talks about the “fuckability” of three randomly selected female characters from various anime and video games. I’m already attracted to them, it’s to be implied that I would share a bed with them already. What this article is meant to do, is go through their personalities, interests, anything pertinent to answering the question if they’re a one-time only, a friend that I might accept the occasional booty call from, or someone I would absolutely spend the rest of my life with.

So without further to do, let’s meet this week’s contestants!

Kicking off this week is one of the lovely ladies from Kiznaiver, the red-haired Chidori.

Chidori throughout the early parts of the show is classified as the childhood friend of the main character. She’s constantly helping him out in every way she can, honestly going way past the call of duty with him. He gets bullied often and is very apathetic to it, so she’s the one trying to fight back against them and get them to leave him alone. She’s a bit of a goody two-shoes, she’s overly caring, always trying to lift everyone’s spirits and really not thinking about her own emotions a lot of the time.

When she does get emotional however, things ramp up fast and hard. She has a tendency of getting very punchy when she’s either pissed off or embarrassed, the latter being real easy to get her into. She’s also a bit on the clumsy side and also tends to be a little too nosy in people’s problems and relationships, something that her overly caring nature causes in her.

I could go on a little longer, but I’ll put the remainder in my decision, so here’s where Chidori lies:

A lot of the negative aspects of Chidori’s personality really only comes out due to the emotional stress she suffers because she discovers in the show that the person she’s in love with doesn’t feel the same way about her. I feel like if the two of us had a mutual love for each other, the girl I’d see would be nowhere near the girl I watched during the entire second half of the show. What I’d get would be this wonderfully positive and caring young lady, why wouldn’t I want that kind of girl in my life?

Second this week, we have the extremely “unique” and energetic cousin of the “God Tongue” Erina Nakiri, the silver-haired, red-eyed vampire-looking young woman, Alice.

While her cousin is super pretentious and quite the bitch, Alice is a much more upbeat and energetic version of Erina. Alice still maintains a very smug personality, but she doesn’t lift her nose to everyone she meets, in fact she’s more than happy to talk to her rivals and even poke fun at them before a competition. She’s extremely friendly and cheerful, almost overbearingly so, often being the anime character that smacks people on the shoulder a bunch when joking around with them.

She does also exert some more negative traits, like Erina does. She gets very pouty and has quite the short fuse when she doesn’t get her way or when people dare disagree with the great Alice Nakiri. In the show she has a tendency to throw very short temper tantrums when things get really bad, but does revert back to normal rather quickly. She’s also extremely bossy, often completely taking over things when she walks into a room and doesn’t like what she sees.

So here’s my call on Alice:

I really like Alice, she’s a breath of fresh air when she’s in a good mood. The problem with putting her at the top tier however, is all those negative traits she has would not mix well with me on a daily basis. If we were friends, I’m enjoying her company in moderation. But having to potentially deal with super bossy Alice every single day? Yeah, that’s not going to sit well with me.

Last this week, we’ve got the completely normal (someone has to be) girl within the To LOVE-Ru harem, Haruna Sairenji.

Haruna is the classic love interest of the main character in a harem anime. She’s super nice, extremely caring, responsible, understanding, patient, all the nice things you’d expect an innocent high school girl to have. She’s not bitchy, she’s not smug, she’s not slutty, she’s the “perfect wife” kind of girl in anime terms.

There really isn’t much else I can say about her, because her character stays so consistent in this direction. There are times where she’s thrown into perverted situations, usually under the influence of something, so it’s arguable that she does have a bit of a perverted side to her, but we’re also left to assume that when you’re constantly involved in a group of friends where your clothes are falling off and their clothes are falling off, eventually you’re gonna get a little turned on.

Anyways, here’s my call on Haruna:

Haruna is a really nice girl, there’s no denying that, but she falls into that category of girls that I’ve gone through before in these posts, she’s too nice to the point that I don’t feel like there’s anything else to define her. She doesn’t have anything too quirky about her that separates her from other girls, she’s just a “waifu” level of girl and to me, that’s just a tad bit boring.

So that’s this week’s edition of Waifu, FWB, or One-Night Stand, hope you enjoyed it! Leave any comments you’ve got below, whether it’s your own choices between the three or maybe I’m missing something that could’ve turned the tide on my decision with any one of these girls.
